Include the device, the browser and version, and what you expected to happen. Those three things solve most reports on the first reply.

Try these first

Most reports have a quick answer. The screen will not go fullscreen: fullscreen must be triggered by a tap or click, so use the button or the preview rather than a keyboard shortcut on mobile, and check that your browser has not blocked fullscreen for the site. You cannot exit: press Escape on a keyboard, or tap the screen once and use the exit control that appears. The colour looks wrong: check night mode, True Tone, a colour profile, HDR, or a reduced white point — all of them alter what the panel does with the value the page sends.

The screen keeps switching off: that is your device sleeping, not the page. On iOS it is Settings, Display & Brightness, Auto-Lock; on Android it is Settings, Display, Screen timeout. The red screen on iPhone guide covers the iOS side in detail.

Reporting a bug

Useful reports name the page, the device, and the browser: the dark red screen on an iPhone 14 in Safari 17 exits fullscreen when I change the brightness tells us far more than it is broken. A screenshot or a short screen recording helps if the problem is visual. If it only happens sometimes, say what you were doing just before it went wrong.

Please do not send passwords, payment details, or anything sensitive — nothing here ever needs them, and no reply from us will ask for them.

Suggesting a colour or a feature

Requests for a specific colour page are welcome, and a hex value makes it much easier to act on. Tell us what you would use it for as well — a pixel test, a night light, a photo backdrop, a signal display, a stream — because the use case usually decides whether the page needs a brightness slider, a fixed shade, a download, or something else entirely.

Accessibility

These pages should work with keyboard navigation, zoomed text, high-contrast modes, screen readers, and touch. If a control has no clear name, focus disappears, a heading order is wrong, or an instruction only makes sense visually, tell us and it gets fixed. Say which assistive technology you use so the fix can be tested properly.

A general note on comfort: this site deliberately shows large areas of bright, saturated colour. Start at a lower brightness than feels necessary, and stop if a screen causes discomfort, headache, or eye strain.

What happens next

Messages are read and answered as time allows by the person who maintains the site. You may get a follow-up question if a problem cannot be reproduced from the description. Email sent to this address is used only to reply to you and to fix what you reported — the privacy policy explains how it is handled.

Nothing here requires contacting anyone. If you are only looking for a particular colour, the red screen, the dark red screen, and the red screen background pages are all open and free to use right now.
